MCCARTY & ASSOCIATES TO OFFER ‘MARKETING MINUTES’

McCarty & Associates, Inc. “a marketing firm” recently announced a new addition to their marketing services. The new service, ‘Marketing Minutes,’ is a 90-minute, one-on-one session with the business owner who needs on-the-spot advice.

“We want to try to help every business reach its full potential for success. When others succeed, we all succeed,” said Virginia J. McCarty, CEO of McCarty & Associates, Inc. “In a down economy, not everyone has the resources to do a marketing campaign. This is a very cost effective solution that allows the client to receive advice to help point their business in the right direction.”

For a flat fee of $100, the client will receive a 90-minute session, prior to which the professionals at McCarty & Associates, Inc. will do research on the client’s industry. At meeting time, the client will supply a SWOT analysis of their company -- strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. From there a strategy will be developed. “At the end of session, the plan is for the client to walk away with numerous ideas for successfully marketing their business,” added McCarty. In addition, the client will have follow-up telephone access to McCarty & Associates, Inc. free of charge for 30 days for questions or concerns they had about the information provided.

MCCARTY & ASSOCIATES TO RELEASE PRO-BONO MARKETING GRANT APPLICATION FOR 2008

McCarty & Associates “a marketing firm,” has just announced they will provide pro-bono services in the form of a marketing grant for non-profit companies located in Mason County for the remainder of the 2008 calendar year.

This marketing grant will give the chosen local company a chance to work on their marketing campaign, which will in turn boost their value in the community all while giving McCarty & Associates an opportunity to give back to the community. McCarty & Associates will donate a set amount of service hours to the selected non-profit company, and will oversee projects for them such as branding, fundraising, and/or membership campaigns.

McCarty & Associates is a local company that has been based out of Shelton since 1986.

McCARTY REAPPOINTED TO UNIVERSITY BOARD

Business owner, Virginia J. McCarty, was reappointed to the Professional Advisory Board of Washington State University's Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, the largest college of communication on the west coast.

"This is a significant honor in recognition of your achievements in your chosen communication field," said then Director, Alex Tan, of the Murrow College of Communication at WSU, when McCarty was originally appointed in 1996.  

She joins 30 other top notch professional communicators from across the country.  Being a WSU graduate is not a prerequisite for the appointment, however, McCarty (Jessemey) did graduate from WSU in 1974.  

Since 1986 she has been the founder/CEO of McCarty & Associates, "a marketing firm" and represents clients around the Puget Sound area.

She has won many state and national awards for her marketing campaigns and is very active in her church, and in local civic and commerce groups.

HOSPITAL FOUNDATION HONORS MCCARTY AS ONE OF THREE LOCAL BUSINESS WOMEN

Every year MGH's Foundation honors three outstanding business women who are, or were, successful in their occupations; work or have worked in Mason County; and are active as volunteers in the community. There were 18 nominations in 2006.          

Virginia founded McCarty & Associates, Inc. “a marketing firm” in 1986 as a local marketing consultant specializing in strategic marketing and planning.  

With extensive knowledge and continuous education in business, marketing, and graphics, McCarty & Associates offers strategic ideas to businesses incorporating the marketing mix – price, product, place, and promotion.   The mission statement – “To serve” sums up Virginia's business philosophy of always doing what is best for the client.

Virginia, a graduate of Washington State University, has won numerous awards for her work, including state and national awards for marketing, as well as a first place photography award.   After graduation she worked for WSU; and later Sunkist Growers, Inc. in Los Angeles, before starting her own firm in Shelton, WA.   She is deeply involved in the Mason County business and church communities and beyond, with many past and present board memberships. Currently she serves on the Professional Advisory Board at WSU for the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication where she also established a scholarship award at WSU.   Virginia, who describes herself as “a student always” is currently working on her Masters of Business Administration in Global Marketing.

“She is grounded in her family, church, and community, and her integrity and values permeate her work."
